My exam is tomorrow... I can't really do anything but to continue to work on the OG and Verbal / Quantitative questions. I paid extra to purchase additional questions via the online portal and now I can't access those...

Looks like the issue is seen across board. It kind of disappointing when you have planned 1 test every weekend leading upto the exam and something like this derails our plan.

Hope it gets back up soon.

I have been encountering this issue since yesterday as well. The entire portal is down and gives you an error message. It is very unprofessional of GMAC to not do their due diligence first before moving the exams to the online portal. Furthermore, the software that one downloads is not even updated. Why would GMAAC allow the option to download the software when it hasn't even been updated? Completely boggles my mind!

Even I am unable to access the gmat prep official tests 3-6 today. It says service not available. However, I could access the tests on 3rd Aug'18. I have my exam scheduled in 3 days and I saved this test for the few days before the real thing to get an estimate of my score. :(

I know that they had planned to update the software version and let that run for a year or so, so it's not as if they didn't anticipate problems with the online version. I can only imagine that they ran into some major problems with getting the software version updated. Whatever the reason, they should have handled the transition better. Perhaps they should have delayed the introduction of the new structure if they really couldn't make the new platform more reliable than it currently is.

I am sorry guys - this is super frustrating! If you have a GMAT Test soon, here are a few things I can offer to help out:

  1. You can download the old version of the GMAT Prep Software https://www.mba.com/global/store/downlo ... tware.aspx (the downside is that it is not adapted to the new shorter format)

  2. For those taking their GMAT soon and without CAT's - GMAT Club will be happy to give you complimentary access to GMAT Club tests for 5 days. Our verbal questions are not the same as the official stuff - that's just it. Nobody has the official questions except GMAC. However, if you are looking for quant, GMAT Club tests are really top notch. (This offer is no longer available now that mba.com is back online.)

I tried to do a test yesterday (Based out of India). I purchased 3,4,5 and 6. And scheduled my test 3 yesterday. I am not able to access any of the test prep links. My exam date is Aug 17. I really hope site comes back before that. Any idea about when will it be back?

After all the headaches, glitches, outages, bugs, downgrades and other various hiccups associated with the transition to an online-only version of GMAT Prep, I'm currently recommending that my students strongly consider using the old GMATPrep software for desktop if possible, as an alternative means of accessing the exact same content. Yes, the sections are a little bit longer, but at least the tests work!

Not to say "I told you so" to the GMAC, but I predicted that there would be many issues with the transition from desktop to online software.

The lesson here: The GMAC should have updated the desktop software, too.

You will have to activate the tests first.

Steps:
1. Login to mba[dot]com.
2. Click on My Account, at the top right of your screen.
3. Select Access GMAT Official PREP under Purchased Products.
4. Click on the Settings icon on the top right of the platform dashboard.
5. Paste your 19-digit activation code (including all dashes) in the text box for the purchased product. Please ensure that there are no spaces before or after the entered code.
6. Click the green Activate button – your additional practice questions or practice exams should now display in your dashboard.

Hello, my official practice test 2 is not working. It's really frustrating and I don't know what to do..
can anyone help?? The test has got stuck on the quantitative instruction page. when I click on the Next button nothing happens.
