GMAT Online Appointment Availability

Question

Hello!

I want to give the GMAT Online in the last week of October but there are no appointments available during that week. Appointments are available in the week before and in the after. Is there any particular reason for this? Aren't GMAT Online appointments supposed to be available throughout the month?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Ideally slots are available 24*7. You can write a mail to the support.

Yes, I have already written to the support team. Considering that slots are available 24*7, it is very unlikely that ALL slots in that week are booked. It is definitely weird.

I got a reply from customer care stating that slots are available on a first cum first serve basis and that I would have to call them to confirm availability. However, they did not respond to my calls. I will probably give the GMAT in the test-center.

It is really strange that all slots are unavailable in the last week of October. No appointments are available in the last two weeks of November and December as well. Don't know why that's the case.

Each of the At-home GMAT appointments has to be staffed by a Moderator, so there would be a limit to how many Exams could be administered at any one time. In addition, the At-home Exam runs on an appointment/scheduling system the same way that the traditional Test Center GMAT does, so spots fill-up as GMATers set their appointments. It's certainly possible that a large enough group of people planned ahead and scheduled their appointments to the point that the schedule was filled - BUT in the same way that spots can open up at a Test Center (when people choose to reschedule), they can also potentially open up for the At-home GMAT. As such, you might consider checking the schedule periodically to see if any spots have opened-up during the weeks that you're interested in taking the GMAT.

Update

GMAT Online appointments for the last week of October are now available. I don't know why they were blocked earlier. Seems strange. Also, in India, it seems that the appointments in the last two weeks of November and December are currently unavailable. But if someone needs to give the exam during that time, you can probably wait for sometime as I believe slots will open up closer to the exam date. Don't know why this is the case though.
