Hi all,
as many of you, I have been studying for the gmat for the past few months. It has been such an overwhelming journey.
After taking couple weeks of work and taking the 6 Official prep tests I finally got the courage I needed to take the actual test.
After a very anxious night pre-test, the time had finally come.
I started the test and by quest 15 of the Quant section the proctor told me he couldn't see my face (?) - I was just looking down at my white board and doing math. I said sorry, the test continued.
Suddenly at question 29/31, the test suddenly got shut down by the proctor - I was simply doing my exercises, no noise, no movement, no nothing.
The experience, the shock is terrible. The after sales team is close to unhelpful - no SLAs, no clear process, no honesty on their end.
I have never felt so insulted in my life.
I already spent couple hours on the phone and sent ~5 emails, without any help on their end.
I wonder for how long B schools will take this. Such a terrible experience.
If you have the opportunity to take the test at the center, please do.

Sorry to hear this bad exp ... Quite strange and unfortunate !!Hopefully you will get another chance by GMAC ..

So sorry to hear about your experience. This is not common but it does happen. It is good to see that there is a pattern of providing a warning but it seems there’s only one.... this could have been one a new proctor or perhaps you we’re leaning too much. It’s hard to tell and it’s not an easy job the proctors have to do. I am still very very sorry about this very disappointing experience.
On the positive side, I can tell you that it won’t really matter in the long run and I wouldn’t worry too much about it except having to retake the test. You can definitely do it at the center if they’re open in your city or you can wait and book an online appointment in 16 days.
It is possible that GMAC may let you do a free retake but they seem to only offer that in case of technical issues.
