I am planning to apply for EMBA class starting this Summer/Fall. I decided rather belatedly -- about 6 weeks ago, and would like to give it a go. I am targeting 700+ for GMAT. My earliest application deadline is Feb. 1 (Wharton), with March 1 as GMAT deadline.
I would appreciate some suggestions on an accelerated GMAT prep schedule -- as well as feedback/comment on whether it is realistic to accomplish it. I thought of skipping 2011 and apply for 2012, but time is not on my side.
As for my profile -- I have graduate degrees in Engg & Comp Sc. with 20 years of work experience -- in software development, engineering analysis, IT Consulting and starting and running my own businesses. Have strong Math skills, but not-so-great verbal skills. Essays are my most glaring weaknesses.
I need to decide if I can have a strong enough application to have a shot at Wharton (my first choice). Looking for suggestions/feedback/comments.

Not an easy question since it is not clear where you are right now. Also, if you are shooting for an EMBA and an older applicant, you will be taking a bit longer to get through things just as it takes mind longer to learn new (or remember old) things.
I would say take a diagnostic first, know where you stand in Math and Verbal and then it would be a more productive conversation.
P.S. It is doable to get 100-150 points in 2 months but you will need to study pretty hard
