GMAT Prep new software faulty ?

Hi All,

I recently attempted 2 GMATPrep mocks.
In the 1 st test, I scored 740 (V38, Q51)
In Verbal, there were 9 mistakes.

In the 2nd test, I scored 680 (V31, Q50)
In Verbal, there were 8 mistakes.

How is this possible that when I did less mistakes in verbal, my score went down from V38 to V31? I understand there could be a scenario where a string of my questions could have went wrong, but tht's not the case here..

Is there a fault in the system? Has anyone else noticed a similar issue?
Or is there something that we are missing out with the new release ?

Although there are a lot of things about the new platform that need to be improved, it is not uncommon to see different scores with similar accuracy levels. Keep in mind that the GMAT is an adaptive test, and that the score depends on a lot of factors (like question difficulty) and not just on the number of questions correct.

Is new GMAT Prep buggy?
Similar other questions include - Is the sky blue? Is the water wet? .... Oh yes! :death:

You seem really sure about the buggy GMAT Prep :) :D
The problem is, I was planning to buy the Tests 3 and 4 from GMATPrep Software. I am confused what should I do now? I am writing my exam on Oct 3 and I do not want to use any other sources except GMAC/ GMATPrep.
Please advise if it is still worth buying the GMAT Tests.. ?

Hi buddy,

there are many people who have encountered similar issues.

Unfortunately, it seems like GMAC does not really care that much, as I have not heard of any improvements concerning those issues for quite some time now.

Sorry, there is not much joy in the bugginess of the software.

There are not that many options either... just probably have to buy it and hope for the best. It’s no longer possible to install the previous version of it, so that option is out.

It say course intuition fortunately with few options....
