GMAT Prep Online Courses Review

Question

Hi

I am just starting out my GMAT prep. I came across 3 courses EGMAT, Top 1% by Sandeep Gupta and a new course starting 4 June by Chiranjeev Singh Sir.

Now I am confused on which course to take. Any suggestions?

Hi Rohan, best way to judge will be to do a free online trial class with few institutes, and then decide which one suits you best.

The quality of the  instructor  delivering the instruction, should obviously be a prime consideration in your final decision.

rohan2433 Take demo classes at as many places as possible. Thankfully this industry gives free demos so ball is in your court. It's not just the money that one stakes while opting for any prep service but it's the valuable time as well. Every prep company has several strengths and candidates need to judge whether the strengths of prep company are supplementing what the candidate needs... Hence, do your own research and take FREE demo classes. All the best!!!

Since it sounds like you're just beginning your studies, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

When it comes to studying for the GMAT, there are a variety of different study materials that you might use. Most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. We have a variety of those resources at our website (www.empowergmat.com). I suggest that you take advantage of all of them, then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.

Regarding prep courses, in addition to seeking advice in this thread, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for  the best quant  and  verbal courses , and also read through some  GMAT success stories  to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

Also, would you like some general advice on how to improve your verbal and quant skills?

CJ is the best plus it will be live batch unlike already recorded. This is the best we all can get.

Sandeep Gupta style of teaching is different but he had students until 2014 so don't go for it

Avoid EGMAT - it will be a complete waste of time and money. PS- My biggest mistake in GMAT prep is subscribing to EGMAT course
