Well, that's the feedback i am getting from most of the schools and the current students i am talking to there. While they claim that Admissions look into holistic profiles, but GA's and Scholarships are generally favored for better GMAT scores. Its a very sketchy scenario, since there is no rule to it.

Well, on the profile evaluation from, I did submit my profile on the evaluation forum, and the response has been to go ahead with this score since the profile, especially my work experience is brilliant.

AjiteshArun

For your quick reference I am mentioning the profile here:

Work Experience- 5.2 years now (6 at the start of the program- Fall 2016)

Work Experience Summary-

Gents, Got my AWA today, scored 6. Now you might be able to complete the picture.
You do have a lot to offer your target schools. The discussion about the GMAT retake remains the same though. You have a good score, but you're also looking at some really good schools, which attract some really good applicants. A higher GMAT score is one way you could improve your chances. But you could also be spending that time doing other, perhaps more productive, things. There can't be a definite answer to this. I just hope that you're not still going in thinking that assistance is impossible with a 690.

Thanks Ajitesh,

Well, have finally decided to do other productive things rather than take gmat again. Lets see how it goes.
I am also clear that GA's /Scholarships are not a component of GMAT alone, if they find value in the candidates experience, it can be a deal breaker.
So lets see.

Thanks for your help.
