Hi
Took the GMAT today and scored a 720 (Q49 V38).
Given that my gpa is on the lower side, I'd like to retake the GMAT.
I've been googling up the GMAT retake policy and I've found with the following three variants:
1. Once in a calendar month.
2. atleast 16 days after writing the original test. (This seems to be for tests whose scores are not reported by the candidate).
3. atleast 31 after writing the original test.

I wrote the test for the first time and have reported (not cancelled my score). Which of the three applies to me?

Per https://www.mba.com/global/the-gmat-blog ... tures.aspx, you are allowed to retake in 16 days. It does not matter if you reported your scores or not. You are only allwoed to take 5 GMATs (reported or cancelled) withing any given year.

Another way to check this is by looking at what dates are you getting on mba.com when you try to reschedule your next attempt.

Is this year criteria from January to December period or the year will be counted from the first test i write .

let us know how your re-take goes. Having scored a 620 I'm always curious when people score in the 700's and are determined to re-write.

Sometimes it's about Q/V balance (realistically more about a low Q score) and not just the overall score.
