Hi Team,

I checked a number of score charts available online and it seems that a score of Q46 and V35 usually lands to a 670 in GMAT. But surprisingly, for me, it came to 660 after attempting the test. Could anyone tell me why this discrepancy of 10 points?

It's not uncommon for the "same" combo Q/V score to go ten points here or there. It's probably fair to say there is a difference between a "high" Q49 and a "low" Q49, for example, which the scoring algorithm takes into account.

Even I have seen these days that people having same Q and V break up are getting different scores in the range of 10 points. Since the points are awarded by the algorithm , we can assume that for a same Q and V break up the points may vary depending on how well the test taker has performed.

However , for GMAT official tests,1-6, the points allocation has matched wrt the grid given in the link below.

Hi arjayitaroy,

Q-46 and V-35 give a score of 660, so there is no discrepancy of 10 points. Did you check to see the Manhattprep GMAT Score Calculator:

The total and sectional (raw scores) are calculated using different algorithms/formulas and thus sometimes the same combination of Q and V scores may have a slightly diff overall score.
