GMAT TEST CENTRE INFO. REQUIRED- LUCKNOW, INDIA

Question

Hello everyone!

Can anyone inform me whether " ANSAL TECHNICAL CAMPUS " located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India is conducting GMAT offline test as I have booked my GMAT exam for Aug'21 and while checking it's exact location in google maps I have found out that it has been marked as PERMANENTLY closed

. If someone has any information regarding the same kindly share as it will be very helpful

Buddy, actually I mailed GMAC and got the revert that "Till now they have not received any closure information of the centre and if any such reports or change in venue or cancellation of the exam happens then it will be informed to us in advance."

Did you by luck get any information regarding the same ?

The last update I have is from June 18th when I went directly to the center but there was a notice that the campus is closed.

Please do post here if anyone gets a chance to give the in-center test (I am assuming it should be open by now )

I had booked my test date for 30th of June and received a cancellation 1 week prior to the date. I’m too wondering if it’s open for function as calling them doesn’t help..

So, did you then give your exam via GMAT online or chose any another GMAT centre ?

I’m pretty sceptical about the online media so would rather wait for the centre to open.. Lucknow is the only nearest centre which I can opt for.. 😩

Thanks for sharing this info. Yes , even i tried calling the official number of Ansal Technical Campus (given in GMAC website) but it was not reachable. I called the official customer care number and they asked me to book the date in July with a disclaimer that if the center is non-operational we will receive a cancellation via email.

I am appalled to see this happening with the capital city and such unresponsive behavior from the authorities.

It is like GMAC does not want people to take the exam from Lucknow . The only option remaining is to travel 500 km to Noida to give the in-center exam .

Lets hope we receive some positive update soon.

Exactly, if the centre has been permanently closed then why don't they remove it's name from the list while booking the exam!? Or if the centre was temporarily closed then why are they even allowing students to book the exam for that centre!?

And I am unable to come around the fact that there is/was only 1 centre in entire Uttar Pradesh while you have so many in Delhi, Mumbai itself. GMAC needs to diversify there centres all over India or else increase the number of attempts for GMAT online.

I gave my GMAT exam there yesterday (28th July 2021). The center is open and the process was smooth.

A word of caution:  The direction to the institute is wrong. The institute is on the main road rather than on an inside road shown on Google Maps. You can ask people inside the golf city to reach the correct destination. Also, the entrance is from a smaller gate (and not from the main gate). It is on the same road as the main gate.

A better direction to the center would be:  Search "Confort Hotel Vista Residency" on google maps -> Reach there -> Move towards "Multi Facility Complex" from Comfort Hotel and take the next right turn before "Multi Facility Complex" -> The road will end at the smaller gate of Ansal Technical Campus, Lucknow

I gave my gmat today from ansal, it's a good place but I didn't get good results for quant,planning to give again, if anyone wants to study together,msg me that way we can learn more

I agree, the first time even I struggled to find the institute. The updated directions would be useful.

On a side note -I am proud that as a community we are able to generate some leads for Lucknow. Earlier I was able to find updates for all the major cities except Lucknow. Hope this discussion helps others as well.
