I would like to add to this. So I was scoring around 655-695 in Gmat Club and E.global mocks till April 21, and scored a 695 on official mock 2 on 12th April. After this I took a 3 week break from my preps for work. When I came back I scored 635 in my first gmat club mock on enhanced algo (I was disheartened thinking that I lost my momentum) and then got 635 and 645 on next two gmat club mocks (Over the next 2 weekends). I did not appear for any E global mocks as I had exhausted all 15 of those. So then I took official mock 1 again to check where I stand officially (This was my 2nd attempt at official mock 1 so the score seemed inflated to me) I scored a 735. Then when I appeared for Official mock 3, as this was a new mock for me, to understand the gap between Gmat club and Official mocks, I got a 685. My scores earlier were consistent, I am seeing a lot of fluctuations now. What do you all think?
Hi NidhiYad,

I don't know about the nonofficial tests you mentioned, but if you were already familiar with some of the questions on your official practice test 1 retake, then that 735 could be an inflated score. However, 695 (official practice test 2) and 685 (official practice test 3) are very good scores, and indicate that you're capable of getting a similar score on the actual GMAT.

All the best.

Anyone has any advise for a demotivated test taker restarting prep 2 months after a sub-par score of 615? How to go about prep and where to start?
I agree with Ashish. 615 is by no means a low score, especially for a first attempt. Another 30-40 points and you're at the 90% mark.

This is kinda where I've hit a wall, I've used up my official mocks on my first attempt, any suggestions on which has the closest algorithm and question quality to the official mocks, considering all things like budget and question banks?
By all your official mocks, do you mean all 6 (that is, including the paid ones)? That's one of the mistakes I ask people/students to avoid (burning through all the official practice tests before the first attempt). However, since it's been at least 2 months since you took the official tests, maybe you could retake them?

Hi everyone, I’m currently preparing for the GMAT Focus Edition and using e-GMAT. While it’s good for concepts, I've hit a bit of a standstill and feel I need an experienced mentor to discuss personalized strategies, mock analysis, and overall direction. I recently came across Mitul Gada Sir.

My plan is to use e-GMAT strictly for concept clearance and work with a mentor for directional strategy and performance tracking. If anyone here has taken mentoring or classes from him, could you please share your honest experience or review? It would be incredibly helpful.

Also, if anyone can give any references for a good mentor with whom I can discuss my strategies—ideally based in Gujarat or near to Gujarat (like Mumbai)—it would be really helpful too.
Thank you so much!

Hello all, how do the Experts Global mocks compare to the main exam? Any reviews from experienced folks would really be helpful. If not the official mocks what's the next best option?

Felt the OG mocks were nit upto the difficulty of the main exam. But the EG mocks are not adaptive right?

Hello, I have a doubt with CR question. Here how is E wrong and D right?
I think D addresses the vulnerability of the statement more than E. E is just a reiteration of the smae question premise except the fact in question it mentions a low % of all population but E states a low proportion of all graduates (kinda the denominator for calculation changes).
For D it states that other grads aren’t earning more than in any other cities- which is a new premise for strengthening the argument as since we have to select the best strengthener it should be D rather than E (which I feel is just a reiteration in terms of logic of what’s already mentioned in the question)

Feel free to rectify me or suggest if anyone has a better rationale behind this - happy to learn 😊

choice E does not strengthen the columnist’s argument nor it provides any additional evidence to support the same,.rather it simply reveals that — like the percentage of humanities degree holders out of all residents — the % of humanities degree holders out of all graduates is low when compared to cities of similar size.

It seems you were already in a good place before you stopped prepping. I think just revise your concepts once and focus on mock test practicing, then identify weak areas and improve accuracy in those. Continue with mocks throughout.

Hi Everyone I have been preparing for GMAT for the last year but recently had a gap for 2 months my scores for official mocks are in the range of 650 to 690. Can someone suggest the strategy further as I am planning to attempt the exam in the month of July.

Thanks
