Because the gmat changes in 2012 is why I am taking it in 2011. I plan to apply in 2012 but I wanted to get the test out of the way before it changed. Is this a wise move, would a year be that much of a difference?

2011 and 2012 will not make that much of a difference in my opinion. The OP was thinking of a 5 year window.

Thanks, I didn't mean to hijack the OP's thread.

This is a valid query...

I completed my graduation last year, and thereafter worked for 13 months. I have now taken a sabbatical to study for GMAT as I think I am still in my elements as far as test-taking is concerned....If I delay it any more, it might get difficult for me take the test later on...IS this wise to do?
Will explaining to the Adcoms that I took a sabbatical to study for GMAT cast a negative impression?

Opinions are welcome.

Cheers,
R J
