Hey guys! I am sitting the gmat the 30th of November and now I am doing several practice tests. And here is the problem (which is not such a big problem but I want to have some advices): I took several manhattan gmat and did twice 680 (47, 36) and twice 640 (47,30). I also took GMATPrep twice and I did 640 the first time (50,28) and 720 the second (50, 38). I was really proud of my GMATPrep V (which is my weak link as a french student) which was pretty close to that of the manhattan gmat. I don't really attach any importance on that score because V is really unpredictible for me in that it really depends on my focus and on how I manage to understand the text.
But here is my point: why are my Q so different between the GMATPrep and the manhattan gmat ? In the manhattan I scored 4 times a Q at 47 and with the GMATPrep I scored a Q at 50 twice! Which one is the most true? Is the manhattan gmat more difficult?
Could you help with this guys because I really need to do an awesome score ine Q to balance my V !

As you would have seen in a lot of places, the GMAT prep is the closest thing to your actual GMAT. Though i haven't taken any of Manhattan's tests, they are generally regarded as being a little more difficult than the actual GMAT questions. Why don't you try the score convertor?? Its made by this forum. Just type score convertor in the search engine.
You should try the score convertor to get a good idea of how various CAT results correlate to your expected GMAT score. But as far as the MGMAT v/s GMAT prep bit is concerned, the main difference I found was that in MGMAT, the question level is indeed harder and also when you answer just a few questions correctly, the level of the questions that are thrown at you is very high. You get a lot of "700-800 level" questions.
Given your quant scores so far, I would be very surprised if you get short of a q48 in the real thing. And GMAT prep is the most accurate indicator of real scores at the end of the day
Hey guys! I don't if you say so just to make me happy but it was the exact answer I wanted to hear... to read! I already tried to check my "possible" result with the gmat calculator on he website but it hasn't been updated since the beginning of the current year... Basically for a year now! So I didn't know what I should expect. Anyway, thank you guys for your answers, I'll keep working for the D-Day...
