A weird thing happened on my GMAT Prep 1 test today.
At question #20 on quant, the software popped up an error (before i could attempt the question) saying
"system error", not sure what it exactly said, since i had a reflex action & closed it immediately. However the system logged me out.
When i logged back in, it said " resume test" or something like that in the box for GMAT prep 1.
I clicked on it & the system took me straight to question #20, however it was a different question than the original question it showed before the error. The timer started exactly from the point of error.
The test resumed fine from this point on, however after Question # 30, it ended. When i review the test, it shows 31 questions in the performance summary, however when i review individual questions it has only 30 questions.
The system doesn't have any trace of the original Q#20.
I think the system goofed up at Q#20 & when it resumed it lost its sequence, the question it threw at me was actually Q#21, however the sequence number it showed was 20 & then the test ended at 30, because it was actually Q#31.
I hope it makes sense.
Has this happened with anyone else? Is there a possibility that something like this can happen on the real test?
Thanks,
GyM
