Congratulations on your fantastic job ! I can say that the school name doesn’t get you into consulting but rather your skill set and the consulting club at the school.
Also, things such as having MBB folks on campus helps. You have easier access to them to network and so on.
However, consulting is extremely competitive and even people from M7 get dinged easily from consulting interview and recruiting process. Taking into consideration how painful that experience can be, I feel it would be very foolish to gamble such a big scholarship and then strike out in case something just doesn’t align.
I would say if you’re sad on MBB or nothing then absolutely go to Ross but otherwise I would choose Emery and try your chances and hire a consulting coach who can work with you individually and perhaps connect you with some current MBP folks to network and that would only cost you five grand at most.... Just a thought.
