I'm submitting my app for R2. Any tips?

I'm submitting my app via the Consortium for their Jan 3rd deadline, does anyone know if this is viewed by AdCom as R2 or R3 when being compared to the normal admissions pool?

DMNY, Since you are applying Rd 2 through the CGSM, your application will fall into Round 3 for Emory. Emory's regular deadline for Round 3 is Jan 18, so by submitting it to CGSM by Jan. 5 (i think that's the Consortium deadline, not Jan. 3rd.) they will receive it in time for processing in Round 3. I applied through the Consortium in Round 1, so maybe we can both grab the fellowship and attend.

I think it will be viewed as R3. I interviewed with Emory already back on October 4th on campus. Felt more like a conversation....definitely have to emphasize Goizueta Core Values through out all your answers...they care about that. BTW, I'm also applying through Consortium for January 5th deadline!

Would a low GPA (low 2s) candidate with a very high GMAT (750) get into goizueta? I also have >5 years international work ex in over 21 countries as a strategist working for a major blue chip MNC. I am also Indian with my undergrad from NUS (singapore)-this is where i messed up my gpa. I also have a masters in econs with a gpa of 3.5. The reason I ask is thT the class profiles for goizueta seems to indicate that they ae more accepting of low GMATs than GPA. Their GPA average stands at 3.4 with GMAT 80% range from 610-740. Tomorrow is R1 Decision Day. I don't know if Goizueta ever informs applicants the day before, but would people please post if they hear anything?

Just got the call! Accepted to the 2 year program with a $15,000 scholarship!

Congrats!! Did you get an email too? I haven't heard anything yet.

No email, and my application status on the website hasn't changed yet either. The call was from my interviewer and she said that emails weren't going out until tomorrow. Good luck everyone!
