I AM IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from a US number, but couldnt hear anyone on the other side. Then an email came, so its official.

I thought that I will be waitlisted, given the fact that I think i didnt connect that well with my interviewer, but oh well...life is great:)

i am international (europe)

best to all...i asked them about the "complete" status, but he said it meant nothing...

CONGRATS LXA!!!

Hi guys, I'm in to Chicago as well.

Now comes the tough time: Wharton or Chicago? which one to go? please vote.

Wharton ot Chicago? Is that even a valid question?

You really think its that clear cut? I don't... and I'm not saying that because I'm going to Chicago...

Both are equally exceptional schools - dont get me wrong!

But Wharton has the aura associated with its name. And in terms of ranking, quoting wikipedia on Wharton - "Wharton School has been ranked the single best business school in the world by Financial Times in every year in which the magazine has ranked business schools, except for 2005, when it tied with Harvard. Wharton usually receives the highest reputational scores from academics and recruiters."

Saying that I must admit that both are great programs to relaunch your career!

4 / 13 (one is not listed there) ... so statistically there is still hope.

Thanks man. I hope ... i know it's lame, but i'm not convinced until they call back. I was annoyed by such people on the BW forums but and now i'm one of them.

Can I expect them to call back or should I call at regular intervals?

I think its only international now. Lost hope. I should have applied to more schools. Darn.

I certainly wish they just posted the results online and not just call people because the wait killed me and now since I did not get in, i feel bummed.

Anyway CONGRATS to all of you guys.

Its going to be a depressing week for me.

Grats to yb and LXA!

Wharton / Chicago - tough choice. I think the reputation varies by region though.

I didn't apply to Wharton. I have friends in Chicago, so that helped, but mostly just couldn't see what Wharton offers that Chicago doesn't. You can't go wrong with either, but there is a better fit for you.

Thats just enough money to make it a tough choice... sort of. Personally, I wouldn't pass up the brand of GSB for $20K/yr, but thats largely a function of personal finances and goals.

I'm holding back on celebrating until I talk to someone. I called back and left a message. Now I'm anxiously waiting - can't work, can't do much at all...just waiting.

doesn't look like i am going to be admitted...

It is so frustrating to me. I have worked so hard in my undergrad, gmat, extra-curricular, and work. Busted my butt on essays and recommendation... yet no fruit to show for...

this is a horrible feeling... sigh...
