In for R1. Anyone else really struggling with the 250 word limit? By the time I get my answer down to 250 words I don't feel like it conveys most of the things I wanted it to anymore.

Just uploaded my essays. Turns out the online word-counter separates hypenated words (note: this is different compared to MS word that does not parse hypenated words out).
Shifting to R2. I missed the TOEFL requirement. None of the other schools I am applying to require TOEFL and hence did not bother to take it.

I just gave the toefl today. They are ok if the results are not out by the time you submit your app but the toefl has to be taken before the round deadline.
Except for the Career Essays, all other essays of Haas are very short (250 words). I wonder if we should write a completely structured essays with Introduction, Body, and Conclusion sections or we just need a paragraph (i.e. the Body section only) for each of these essays?

Yes that was the major challenge cause by the time I realised I had to take Toefl there were no tests available in and around my city before Oct 14th.
Hope this works to my advantage as I now got more time to fine tune my essays for other schools (LBS & Tuck). I was struggling otherwise.

Even I am struggling with the same. A smooth introduction eats up quite a few words, and thus I am going to get straight to the heart of the matter. But a conclusion is essential - so I would say "Body + Conclusion".
Does a re-applicant need to resubmit / resend his GMAT scores or transcript to the school?
Most schools will not require you to resend your GMAT score, and will merely ask you to re-state it on the app. As for the transcripts, some schools require that you resend the transcripts.
I reached out to the Haas adcom on their requirements. Here's what they had to say:
haas
As long as your scores have not expired and you applied within the last 2 years Fall 2009 or Fall 2010 you do not need to resend your information.

I was wondering if/what the other applicants are planning to wirte in this essay. I am planning to skip it but am keen to understand if anyone thinks it can be used in a positive way.

It's a very helpful essay if you want to explain something: bad GPA, drop out of schools etc.

Agreed.. I'm skipping it. I thought about covering my career switch from investment banking to media, but folded that into the careers essay.
Good luck to everyone else working on apps for R1!

Submitted... I feel I did not use the supplement essay to write down my activities properly. I should have elaborated a bit? How about you..how many words did you write approximately for the supplemental essays on activities?
