hi all: lurkerer here...i'm R2 applicant who attended the visitation day and loved it. but my interview was not great. do u guys know when R2 applicants receive notice? in addition to ewmba, i applied to kellogg PT, too.

Everyone thinks their interview went bad. So, don't count yourself out yet.

@packet82: that's kind of you to say, thanks. keeping my fingers crossed. any idea on timing of decision??

April 4th, possibly the 3rd.

Hi Everyone,

Have any of the round 2 applicants seen changes in the Quantitative Proficiency Requirement section of their application? I'm not sure if this is suppose to change closer to the deadline or throughout the application period. THanks!

I just checked and I can see that mine changed from "blank" to complete.

Mine is still blank (since Jan), I wonder if this is a possible indication of rejection/waitlist. I imagine they wouldn't waste time in evaluating the quantitative proficiency of applicants that are not accepted.

@h5a: i doubt it, because ppl get admitted to haas w/o proving quantitative proficiency. so, i'd imagine that field is simply to indicate whether you've fulfilled that or not. hey, on a separate note, did u apply to kellogg pt as well? are you a r2 haas ewmba applicant?

hi @abishake4, do you mind telling us when you applied/interviewed? I'm getting a bit concerned. I applied on 1/20 & interviewed the first or second week of Feb. I haven't seen anyone in this forum or the prior year's forum discuss math status updates... I'm in the same mindset as @h5a...I wonder if it's a sign of waitlist/rejection...

I am also wondering if the quantitative proficiency thing is only completed for the obvious applicants: those that have 75% or above on the GMAT Quant. If this is the case, then it should NOT be an indication of potential rejection/waitlist vs acceptance.

In my case, I am 1 point short of the 2014 75percentile. So, in my case they would have to look through my transcripts, my justification in the supplemental essay, and my work experience before they can evaluate my quantitative proficiency. Maybe they are putting off evaluating applicants that are below 75%.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. As h5a mentioned, in my case it could simply be the GMAT Quant score which satisfied the requirement.
By the way, I submitted the application on 01/21 and interviewed on 02/18

As far as I'm aware, it doesn't have any weight on your actual application. It's just a prereq you may have to take if they think you need it.

Last year there were two prereqs, the stats class and the college math class. This year the stats class has been moved in to the core, but the college math prereq remains. Most people won't have to take it.
