There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
They reportedly interview 80% of the applicants. If they decide whether to interview or not based on GMAT + gpa, I don't see how 700 GMAT + 3.5 can be in the bottom 20 percentile.
Maybe R1 is just too f*'ed up a round to apply in at Haas. Perhaps this fact should have been discussed more frequently in 2012 forums. I don't know if it would have changed my mind but it would have definitely been worth a consideration.
I didn't receive any such email. Although, it's very strange that none of them replied. Did they have a @haas.berkeley.edu address?
Perhaps the ewmba staff instructed them to do so but then changed their mind after the emails were already sent. Did the email seem like it followed a fixed template?
I assumed he was just busy. The person that responded to me is a current EWMBA student. I'm sure he's got a lot on his plate. At this point I don't have a whole lot of questions anyways. So, it's not a huge loss if I don't get to meet up with him.

I conversed back and forth with the student that contacted me and set up time with him tomorrow to discuss his experiences. I'm very curious if they just pulled the candidate list to contact from specific events or just a general list of students that submitted applications.

710 GMAT, 3.1 GPA undergrad, 3.97 grad. 8 years experience, 6 in consulting.
i'm a rd1 who interviewed a few weeks ago. I had questions for my interviewer that she could not answer. I didn't get any email connecting me with a current student.
I was interviewed and didn't get any email from any student. I don't think this email is only sent to wait listed and/or admitted folks. I am local to the Bay Area.
does anyone know approximately what time we found out on friday? do all admitted folks get a call? do we get an email or do we just get a status update on our online application?
