Well, definitely yes. Anyways, do you think they are calling in some order? GMAT score? Work-ex? Alphabetical order?

I think they have passed all the admitted candidate names into a "Random Generator" and are calling in the order that it spits out the names. :)

Assuming ~80% yield with 250 seats means that close to 325 offers will be made. The last reported numbers indicated around 650 total applications, so one out of two people will receive an offer (50% or higher acceptance rate).

Assuming this forum with > 30 members is a good enough sample for the overall population, only 1 out 4 people received an offer in R1. So statistically, its likely that there will be a correction in this cycle.

So fret not - a much larger percentage of people on this forum should get offers today.

Wasn't the number closer to 750 and not 650?

Applications last year were a little over 750 I heard. There may be more this year, but yes, I expect there will be far more admissions this time around.

Great Sleuthing. So, its close to 40% acceptance rate at Haas - still pretty generous (in context of number of offers that will go out in R2 as compared to R1).

in any case, 753 applied... so assuming 80% of those were interviewed, that leaves 603 to have been interviewed for those 299 admit offers... so 1 admit in every 2 interviews sounds about right...

But she's not planning to accept the offer, so only 2 seats are technically gone :)

I've come to the conclusion that I am currently dreaming.... 3 admits on this board at 1:20pm PST is far too few to make this day a reality. I would like to start this day over again...wake me up...

Technically 2 today. All the others acquaintances of people on this board.

It's not even 1:30 though. Give it some time.

The emotions you experience while waiting for an acceptance to b-school.

1. Anxiety - decision day has finally come....
2. Happiness - for the people who have received the acceptance call.
3. Delusion - what is going on here? there is a conspiracy going on!!!
4. Anger - for those you felt happy for in step 2.
5. Acceptance - either by the b-school or accepting that you've been rejected.

I'm some where around 3. haha
