Hi
FALSEnine9,
It's my pleasure to help.
Business schools look at engagement with the school for two reasons -
a) shows commitment and which means that the applicant will likely accept their offer.
b) the applicant knows what they're getting into and will be more likely to be successful at the program.
While each school will define success differently, schools want each MBA candidate to make the most out of the experience - friends, recruitment, social clubs, and associations: engaged students means engaged alumni.
It's difficult to say without having a look at your application. But as long as you can talk about the following, you should be fine -
a) Your academic credentials - You can keep pace with a rigorous and challenging program.
b) Personal and professional growth - You're talented, motivated and ambitious.
c) Clarity of vision - You know where you want to go and how INSEAD in particular can help you get there. Its important to be granular in your vision - for example, I want to be an investment banker in Europe vs I want to do TMT Investment Banking in London for "YY" firm and so I will do the IB trek before term starts.
I hope I answered your questions
