Class of 2017 as in you will be applying in round 1 or later of this year?

I would be applying in Round 1 only. Are you an applicant too?

I applied for the Summer Round.

But to answer your question, with plenty of work experience and a 760GMAT, it's definitely worth a shot.

You reckon?

I have always felt that you needed something exceptional on your profile if you want to get into Harvard. I don't have that "Something". I feel like I have all the bases covered but nothing really exceptional.
I think I have a good shot at programs like LBS's Masters in Management and Duke's Masters in Management Studies but not really Harvard. :(

Anyway mind sharing your profile?

Good grades are a start, which it sounds like you have (high school doesn't matter though). However, without strong extracurriculars you will be a long shot since most accepted 2+2 students have shown strong leadership in college in addition to some work experience (internships or co-ops) and great grades/scores.

Hey guys. It doesn't seem like there is a threat out there about this year's HBS 2+2 admissions. So I decided to open one. Feel free to discuss admissions and get in touch with each other. I have gotten my offer yesterday and I was wondering if there are any other GMATClub members, whom I'll meet 3 years from now.

I got in. Send me a message with your email. I know two others that have gotten in as well.

Why indian candidates always want to bring up their high school scores? Do the schools in the United States even ask about that? What would that be relevant?

Cultural influences mate. They matter a lot here in India. Even for MBA admissions.

As for what you need:
1. Very very very good grades
2. Amazing GMAT
3. Great internships
4. Lots of really good extracurricular involvement, ideally a leadership role, or student government or something like this.
5. Serious Community Service (better if there is leadership)
5 (can be nice) Athletic achievements esp. professional, or semi-pro.

But do schools in the US care? I don't see they ask us about our high school scores in their applications.

What does one write in the essays being such green horns-no WE not much by way of ECs-Indian engineering colleges make sure you do not have s single minute to even think of ECs....does that mean I should just go work and try my luck with the normal MBA programs? Hope there is a shortage pf applicants this year.
