I'm currently a first year MBA student at HEC and although it's just been a couple of weeks, I can vouch for the strong sense of community here. I don't know how it is at INSEAD (no doubt it's a fantastic school) - but I believe the longer course duration at HEC (16 months vs. 10 months) provides a little more time to explore, settle in, meet with people at leisure, and collaborate. That aside, I have been told (by a professor who has worked in both schools) that INSEAD prepares people very well for a career in consulting (no wonder McKinsey hires a lot there) but for general management/industry, HEC has more eclectic courses and resources to prepare one for a career path in organizations that offer such roles. Hope this helps! Feel free to message should you have more questions.
