I have improved my score from 500 (V27 Q32 - without any prep) to 600 (V30 Q42) with one month of prep. I realised I had forgotten a lot of basic concepts and I have now gone through the same. I am confident that I can get my quant score to Q50 in the next one month. However, I feel there is little to no improvement in the verbal section especially with sentence correction questions.

I have gone through 70% of the official guide for SC and also the concepts given in the Manhattan guide. I wish to understand if I am approaching this in a wrong way or if I can do something better to improve my scores in the next one month.

(I am planning to take the exam between November 15-18, 2020. In case I am unable to reach my target score I will re-appear one month later i.e. December 15-18, 2020. Postponing might be a challenge as I have a cut off date to take the exam by 31 December 2020)

First of all, you have made significant improvement in your score through self preparation. That is something you can learn from and take forward. If you keep improving with smart practice, there is no reason why you cannot improve your verbal score.

The verbal section has three sub-sections. You must target your studies to address each of those sub-sections. Always work with the official guides. They will provide you with all the grammar rules and critical reasoning and reading comprehension strategies.

Read as much as you can of scholarly and serious written passages. Do not just read passively, but question and understand as you read.

Try to understand every question, its original answer and all the incorrect answer options. You must know why each answer choice is either correct or incorrect. Once you identify your weak areas, do some problem solving and refer back to the concepts. This process should be followed carefully and regularly.

If you need materials outside the official guide, you could try out the Manhattan and Powerscore materials. You may also refer to the well-known grammar books available for little money.

There is no need to spend a lot of money on "courses" and similar things. They will be time and money wasters. Your self-preparation is the best method if you follow proper preparation strategies. This site has ample material to help you out.
