Hi saadis87,

Since it's been a week since you posted, have you gotten a chance to take the practice CAT yet? How did you score?

Hi firstly I apologise for posting late.
My city's been a little volatile lately and business was caught up with that. I practiced what ever I could on the go but had to delay taking the test, infact at one point I thought of delaying my MBA plans all together.

Anywho, Things have settled down and I have finally taken the GMAT test. I got a 700 - I was blown away by it, even though there were atleast 3 questions in my GMAT PREP test that I had already practiced on GMAT Club I was surprised at the result. My timing was bang on.

My question is I am pretty late in the application stages but there are a few schools that take applications till April is it worth applying in mid tier schools in the last round ? (Fisher, wake forest, penn state Sanfransisco etc ) - I also have the option of applying to Canada but again, it will be their last round. Can anyone offer advice ?

Oh I know last round application depend a lot on a students profile, well I am an entrepreneur in a family business. I have strong international credentials and expertise in retail & manufacturing.

Hi saadis87,

A great deal of what you're asking about is really Admissions-based, so I suggest that you post those questions to the Experts in the Admissions Consulting Forum on this site:

ask-admission-consultants-124/

While there are many factors to consider when it comes to which Application Round to apply to, a really BIG factor in your case is whether you want to start School this coming Fall or Fall 2016.

As a minor aside on your latest 700 CAT score. You've clearly been working hard and improving over the months, but those few "repeat" questions that you mentioned would have had an overall impact on the 'realism' of the CAT (your attitude, pacing, stress, etc. were all likely eased by seeing those questions). This is all meant to say that the 700 is "inflated" - maybe a little, maybe a lot. With what you've described about your overall profile though, if you were to score in the 600s on the GMAT, you'd probably still be a good candidate for the Schools that you listed.

Thanks for the info.
Agreed the scores are inflate i had a total of 3 questions that were repeats so I'm guessing my score is around 680.
