Unfortunately no it doesn't. In fact, the very lack of a feature like this in the testing center GMAT has created the need for better test taking skills.

The good news is this: It forces you to reconstruct the information on the screen in a better visualization (table, number line etc in quant or flow diagram in verbal CR). Ultimately, the highlight feature made people take a shortcuts on setting up their analysis -- a big failure point in a test that's all about Executive reasoning skills.

The computer based versions of the IELTS and the ACT allow test takers to highlight text on screen.

It is such a useful feature! GMAT scores would probably go up if a similar feature were introduced in the GMAT.

And that may be reason enough for the GMAC to avoid the change. Current scores need to be comparable to earlier ones.

Hi shubhammah24,

You are unable to do any highlighting on the GMAT.

I imagine this is for the Verbal section for long passages. I don't teach an RC method that relies on taking notes/highlighting but if that "clicks" for you (in terms of absorbing the passage) see if mentioning the line number with a small "word" note on your writing pad helps.
