Hi everyone! First, if you are here because you are stressing out about the GMAT or your B school applications. It is all going to be okay.
I was admitted into CBS, and I took a unique approach to getting accepted. I'd love to share the process I took! It might be extremely helpful for those of you with below average stats.
If you are interested in learning more, please reply to this post or privately message me!
I'd love to help out however I can.
Well I have been getting a lot of private messages. So I figured I would share my journey with everyone. I detailed my journey in this article. It is pretty long, but tries to capture everything I did. If you found it helpful, please share and comment! If you have questions on anything, please comment on the article and I will do my best to answer them!
If you found it helpful, please share it with your friends. Just want to help as many people as I can
https://babainvesting.com/admission-to-top-mba/Thanks for sharing. After reading, your only below average stat was the GMAT, and you made up for that with the EA. Between the super-short undergrad degree + high GPA and the job at Deloitte S&A, not sure why you doubted your chances. Seems like your success with CBS cements the idea of stringent admissions I already had.
I appreciate you reading the article! Great GMAT score btw! !
Here is where I was worried.
Work Experience - I only had 2 years of work experience which is way below the average for CBS or any top MBA. It was not MBB either.
GMAT - Since the EA was fairly new, I thought they'd discount my score. They did have my GMAT score in their file.
Undergrad - Arizona State. Not a top school
Age - I was 23 when I applied. Also under the CBS average.
Demographics - White Male Consultant. I did not think I could compete with MBBs from Ivys
Every single consultant I spoke with but 1, said my chances were beyond slim and not to even try to apply this year. If I had listened to them, I would have never applied.
