How many integers between 160 and 290 are divisible by 3?

A) 40
B) 41
C) 42
D) 43
E) 44

The number which is divisible by 3 immediately after 160 is 162

3K = 162, then K =54

The last number before 290 divisible by 3 is 288. 3K = 288, then K =96

290 = 2+9+0 = 11 is not divisible by 3. But, 291 is divisible. Three numbers before 291 is 288.

Number of terms = (96-54)+1 = 43 terms . Option D
