How to convert indian %age into GPA

Hi Everybody,

Can somebody tell me how to convert indian %age to GPA. I also read somewhere that just write %age out of 100 points and don't convert into GPA. University will convert it by seeing transcripts.
Please help urgently.

Thanks a lot.....It means if some university ask to convert %age into GPA and my %age is >60 then equivalent GPA will be 4.0..... ?

No, thats should not be the case. Do go through the post linked by ConnectTheDots. The crux is to convert by conversion system mentioned by the college themselves, else avoid converting it.

Personally I think converting anything about 60% into 4 CGPA is too much.
