There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I read the passage thoroughly, but I didn't understand what the question actually meant. Do I need to find a statement which is false or what? What does "weaken the argument" actually means? And what approach do we take to find the correct answer?
Usually, though not always, the answer will be a statement that denies or weakens the assumption of the argument. Not always but that’s the best/usual way GMAT deals with weaken questions.
