HASTOWINGMAT
Hi Team,
I have gained around 70 percent accuracy in solving questions topicwise but unable to maintain the same accuracy in the GMAT mock exam. My accuracy reduces to 30%.
Can you please help me here.
YOu will have to see on what type of questions is your accuracy 70%. If its on 600-700 level, then your accuracy will decrease. Becasue the GMAT is an adaptive test. As soon as you get a question right, difficulty level of next question increases and if your preparation is not upto that level you will get it wrong and so your accuracy will decrease.
The only way to increase your accuracy on adaptive GMAT is the ability to do lots of hard (700-800) level questions and get them right. If you cant get hard questions right, your accuracy will always remain low. So, if you want to increase your accuracy, start doing 700-800 questions and learning how to solve them.
But it all depends on what score you are targeting. If you are targeting less than 700, then you can get there by having an accuracy of 40%. If you want to target more, your accuracy got to go to 70-80%.
Hope it helps. Best of luck
