I have done some CATs and scores are: Manhattan 550 (this was very first attempt without even studying at all) Veritas 650: (q49v30 ir 7) princeton 710 (q51v34 ir8) gmat official 1 730 (q50 v38 ir8) gmat official 2 680 (q49 v33 ir8) gmat official 3 750 (q51 v40 ir8) gmat official 4 710 (q51 v34 ir7) gmat official 5 720 (q50 v36 ir8) gmat official 6 680 (q50 v32 ir7)
However, my actual GMAT exams are: 1st try 650 (q49 v30 ir8) 2nd try 630 (q49 v27 ir8)
So you can see that i usually have no problem with quant section and IR section, but huge problem with verbal. I think one of the reason I was having higher scores in practice CAT is because there were quite few questions that were similar or same as some of the materials I studied with. Surprisingly I scored even low on my second actual GMAT ..... and I am just questioning whether I can benefit from taking actual course or online 1on1 tutor (since there isn't any personal tutor due to COVID)??
Some extra info about me: I am aiming for at least 700+, means I have to get at least V34+) I am not a native speaker: I came to Canada in grade 10 (and I am turning 30 this year) I just need improvement in verbal. I live in Toronto and currently work part-time (Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday) I am planning to apply for round 2 of American universities possibly M7 (so i can probably write 2-3 more times max): and yes I am aware of their admission profiles including median GMAT score I have prepared for about 1 month on my own with official prep books, forums, and some youtube videos,
Please give me some advice/recommendation on how I should prepare. I was initially studying on my own thinking I could save some money, but money is not my concern anymore as long as I can improve.
