Friends,
for verbal section I always have not enough time.
When time is not limited, I have time for the whole process (pre-thinking and etc), my results are much better.
But when time is limited, I have a lot of mistakes. Usually, when I start to hurry or in the end, when I don't have time at all for last several questions.
What the strategy should be in such case? What is the best way to improve time per question?
My quant score is 40-44 without practise (I haven't started Ofiicial guide), so I expect to increase it after practise.
The best strategy is to improve Verbal first, then start quant?
Practice is the key to improve your speed and make sure you time yourself whenever you practice. You can put a top watch in your phone to time yourself.
Try to drill down deep in each question type and then practice extensively.
SC The questions test various concepts such as S-V agreement, modifiers, parallelism etc. Find out what troubles you.
CR: There might be certain types of questions that are troubling you. May be Assumption, may be conclusion, inference etc.
You need to find that out and then practice them
RC: This again can be drilled down into different types of questions and also different topics. See what questions and topics trouble you the most and then practice accordingly.
As an addition, start preparing an
error log and keep a note of all the mistakes you made and the lessons you learnt from the problems. This will ensure you do not make the same mistake again.
Make sure you complete all of the OG and the Verbal review and if required, you can buy the Question pack1 from mba.com
The best way to study is to take both sections together, so that you do not forget the concepts that you have learnt.
