I gave my GMAT prep exam 1 today - same happened with me. Selected Quant then verbal and clicked finish test
There it was written -> select yes if you want to finish the exam later
and No if you want to mark the exam as finished and then something was written regarding reset exam...
Since i was in impression that -> after attempting exam 1 to reattempt we have to reset exam anyhow.... so that info was regarding reset etc..

As soon as i pressed NO-> NO SCORE popped in take the test tab,

I gave exam 1 with full enthusiasm.. and cant express how i am feeling while writing this post.. anyways - i have mailed to gmatprep@mba.com..
if i get any reply, i will share here...

And if anyone who has gone through this phase of NO score - has any valuable suggestion -then kindly post...

Same thing just happened to me. I emailed them as well. I cant think of any good reason why that would be a feature. I have now wasted an entire day because of this.

Don't know if this can help because I accidentally clicked reset, but if you browse to C: drive and find your AppData folder --> Roaming --> GMATPrep-->LocalStore
Open the logger.db file using DB Browser for SQLite you can check the tables where a score may be present, the table has scores, but this is assuming the software calculates the score but just doesn't show you it. If it doesn't calculate it then it's tougher.

Do this before you click reset.

PS AppData folder will be hidden, so to go C: and the view tab uptop and check the box to see all hidden files.
