You are correct, as a matter of fact. The official guide does have quite a few easy questions however, most of the questions on the GMAT are also not the hardest types. You do run into some hard, or very hard questions from time to time, but most of the ones you get are medium level difficulty, even if you are doing quite well.
Personally, I would not aim for hard questions, unless you are already well above 700. While I understand why everyone wants hard questions, practicing hard questions isn’t really the best solution. Think about if you were trying to learn how to box, would you really want to challenge the worlds champion to a boxing match after about a week of training?
You’re welcome to mix and match some hard questions into your exercises and create quizzes out of 10 questions perhaps equally peppered with easy medium hard.
PS. Add the same time, there are indeed, some very easy, quant and verbal questions so if you are on a short timeframe, if you run out of medium and other questions, you can move to other official questions.

Hello! I am currently going through the OG 2022 hard copy guide. I feel that there is a disproportionate amount of easy questions. Even in the “medium” and “hard” sections. Am I using this ineffectively? How can I best utilize the OG guide? Thank you!!
