Hello,
Can you give me idea about cost of IE B School?

The tuition cost is around 50,000 Euros... same as other top European b schools... while the living expenses are estimated at 2000 Euros per month (considering approx 750 Euros for the apartment)... of course you can spend less but better to budget that amount to benefit for this experience to the max!
So for the 13 months program period (but you'll travel a month earlier for the launch program and additional pre-requisite courses), therefore you should budget an average of 50k + 28k = 78,000 Euros... let's say 80K Euros in total

guys. Are the chances really bad if I decide to apply ~February for NOV intake? And is there a diff between April/NOV intake?

Hi Shaselai,

I know, for example, that they are still processing applications they are recieving now for the Apr11 intake (that's 4 months away from the begininng of the MBA). So if you're planning on appling in february for the nov intake (8 months before the MBA begins), I'm quite sure you're in perfect timming.

The only important difference I know between both intakes is that for the nov intake your chance of an internship is better (since you can do it during the summer) opposed to the april intake.

nice! thanks for the response. How much better is IE compared to IESE? just curious if their standings are "debatable" or IE is def. better than IESE? Also i have looked at the placements... does most people here who are applying going to work in Europe or thinking of elsewhere? I wouldnt mind working in europe at all but kinda curious.... thanks!

I'm from Spain and not applying to neither of both.

Anyway my opinion is that here in Spain IESE is by far more recognized than IE. Many many CEOs and big guys of the country are graduated from IESE.

IE is relatively a new school, and it is growing and gaining a lot of reputation (thanks in part because is located in Madrid), but (at least in Spain) it is still not in the same league as IESE.

Thanks for your info. I heard IESE is better, but i am worrying about its chilling tuition fees and 2 years time. Anyway, do you reckon IE is better in Euro, North A or even Asia? I can't speak Spainish, so global reputation is my primary concern.

I'm not an expert but I think during last years IE is gaining reputation in and out Spain thanks to the fact that it is doing very well in the rankings, better than IESE and ESADE. However, few people think IE is better than IESE.

IE is still a young school and it will need some years to be considered as reputed as IESE.

On the other hand, I consider that Madrid is better city for business than Barcelona, and IE is the only reputed school in Madrid and I think that fact helps the school to grow quickly. Barcelona may be better for living (beach and mountains nearby).

For you, it also depends in which sector you plan to work and where.

By the way, I suggest you to take the opportunity during your mba to learn some Spanish, which would give you many business opportunities in Spain, Latam and the US. In Barcelona you will find more problems to learn it as most of the local people speak catalan.

Hello, I am from NY. I got accepted to IE for April 2011 intake, and to NYU stern for part time MBA. I am planning to work either in US or in India long term. Which MBA is better suited for my goals. How well reputed are part time MBA and how helpful are they in the career. I want to switch my career after MBA. How are the placements and internship from IE in US/India?

well just got my rejection from IE.. no explanation....
you pass the admission test
they tell you your application is ok
you do the interview and the interviewer sais you did well..
Then boom rejection... i do not like the process at all....
Reject me from the beginning for god sake...

Hello,
I'm writing because I recently found out about the IE business school Global MBA program and I will be setting for the admission's exam next week.

I would appreciate if anyone can help me understand what to expect. What is the exam about? What type of math problems? what type of english problems? Do I get a grade at the end of the exam?

Also, how long does it take to get an answer from admissions?
