So I only applied for international mba programs. I spent the last year working with a global team and it has been so enriching that I wanted to establish myself as a global leader and US schools just weren’t able to give me the international exposure I wanted. I also look to work abroad after the program as well so showing I know how to live in a different country with various cultures was important and 33% of IESE last cohort was sponsored by the companies they joined.
On top of that I was at a point in life where I wasn’t just looking for an mba but a transformational experience and I was excited to be in a new culture where I can learn a new language and travel.
And lastly, I attended the university of Washington’s Foster School of Business for my undergrad so I was familiar with the US business school program structure and US mba programs just weren’t different enough for me to justify the cost.
