Notice that A and B can be the same numbers as 1 and 1 ; 50 and 50 etc.

(A) 1*1≥ 2 - NO
(B) 50 + 50≤ 50 - NO
(C) 2*2 = 4 ab is a factor of 100 - NO
(D) ab is a factor of 2500 - YES
(E) 1*1=1 ab is even - NO.

Factor can be +ve as well as -ve

I) if one is positive and other is negative then this choice is incorrect

II)if a is 50 and b is 1 then this choice is incorrect

III)if a is 25 and b is 50 then this would be incorrect

IV)this choice corrects all cases.so it is answer

V)a and b can be 1 and -1 then this would be incorrect

Notice that A and B can be the same numbers as 1 and 1 ; 25 and 25 ; 50 and 50 etc.

(A) 1*1≥ 2 - NO (for a =1 & b =1)
(B) 50 + 1 ≤ 50 - NO (for a =1 & b =50)
(C) 25*25 = 625 ab is a factor of 100 - NO (for a =25 & b =25)
(D) ab is a factor of 2500 - YES ( We can take any factor. This satisfies)
(E) 1*1=1 ab is even - NO. (for a =1 & b =1)

Ans - D

probable factors of 50: Note: a and b both are factors of 50.

a = 1 , 2 , 5, 10, 25, 50
b = 1, 2 , 5 , 10 25, 50

A) Not true. ab could be 1.
B) a + b≤ 50 . not always true. a = 50 b = 50 . a +b = 100.
C) suppose ab = 50*50 = 2500. Not always true.
D) ab = 50*50, which is max . is a factor of 2500. True. In all cases it is true.

The best answer is D.
