(9$)£3 First using A£B=A+B / B = (9$) + 3 / 3

Now using C$=C+3 = (9 + 3) + 3 / 3 = 15 / 3 = 5 _________________ ITS YA BOI Senior Manager Joined: 04 Jun 2018 Posts: 388 Location: Germany Concentration: General Management, Finance GPA: 3.6 WE: Analyst (Transportation) Re: If A£B = (A + B)/B, and C& = C+3, what is the value (9)£3 ? First using A£B=A+B / B
= (9$) + 3 / 3 Now using C$=C+3
= (9 + 3) + 3 / 3
= 15 / 3
= 5

Agree with the solution and solved it via a similar approach.

Essentially we just have to break the equation down in its separate parts and make sure to stick to the order of operation.

Solution

Given:
• $$A£B = \frac{(A + B)}{B}$$
• C$= C + 3 To find: • The value of (9$)£3

Approach and Working:
• $$(9)£3 = (9 + 3)£3 = 12£3 = \frac{(12 + 3)}{3} = 5$$

Hence, the correct answer is Option A
