p=1+2+3+4+...+150
q=1+2+3+4+...+148

p-q=149+150=299

IMO, Option C

Solution

Given:
• p is the sum of all the integers from 1 to 150, both inclusive
• q is the sum of all the integers from 1 to 148, both inclusive

To find:
• The value of p - q

Approach and Working:
• p = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + …………. + 148 + 149 + 150
• q = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + … + 147 + 148

Thus, p – q = 149 + 150 = 299

Hence, the correct answer is Option C
