1 dollar= 100 cents
d dollars= 100d cents

For 100d cents p pencils can be bought

..........c cents...... \(\frac{p}{100d}\)*c pencils can be bought

= \(\frac{pc}{100d}\)

(A) 100pc/d

(B) pc/(100d)

(C) pd/c

(D) pc/d

(E) cd/p

Imo B lets assume vales P=4, D=8 and c= 200 then answer will be 1
and only option B will provide us that answer.

Step 1: Convert d dollars to cents: d*100/d = 100d.
Step 2: Find the price per pencil using the converted amount = p / 100d.
Step 3: Now we have the price per pencil expressed in cents.
Step 4: How many pencils can be bought for c cents? p/100 d * c.
Answer choice B.
