AND is used to connect parallel items, so AND is correct.
As well as is used to connect another item to a list already connected by AND..
For example.. he was a sincere, devoted and dedicated person as well as a thorough gentleman.
PARALLEL items.. here the verbs are parallel and are in simple past - grow, become, so third will be threaten...
B corrects all the errors
