If the average (arithmetic mean) of a, b, and 7 is 13, what is the average of a + 3, b – 5, and 6?

=> (a+b+7)/3 = 13 => a+b+7 = 39 => a+b = 32

Now avg of a+3,b-5, 6 => (a+3+b-5+6)/3 = (a+b+4)/3 = (32+4)/3 = 12

A+B=(13*3)-7=32
Hence average will be
(32-5+3+6)/3=12
