Radius = 28/2 = 14
CONCEPT:
Because Circumference = (Distance travelled by wheen in one revolution) therefore
Distance traveled by a wheel = Circumference * No. of revolutions
Also, 1 foot = 12 inches therefore 500 feet = 500*12 inches
Distance travelled by a wheel, \(500*12 = π*28 * Revolutions\)
Revolutions = 68
Answer: Option B

Solution:
We see that the circumference of the bicycle tire is π x diameter = 28π ≈ 88 inches. Therefore, the number of revolutions when the bicycle travels 500 feet is approximately (500 x 12)/88 = (250 x 3)/11 ≈ 68.
Answer: B
