(5 * 4) * (5 * 4) * (4 * 4) = 6400 cubic cm

We see that one side of the rectangle solid is 4 x 5 = 20, another side is 4 x 5 = 20, and the last side is 4 x 4 = 16.

So the volume is 20 x 20 x 16 = 6400.

Height=5 cubes = 5*4=20 cm
Length= 5 cubes = 5*4=20 cm
Width= 4 cubes = 4*4=16 cm

Area of the rectangular solid: 20*20*16=6 400 cubic sm

length = 5 * 4
Width = 4 * 4
Height = 5 * 4

Volume = (5 * 4) * (4 * 4) * (5 * 4) = 6400

Hence, E.

Hi boomerangbak,

Question stem- What is volume of the rectangular solid?

Volume of rectangular solid= Length* width*height

Observation of the given cuboid:-
a) Cuboid consists of identical cubes with length of edge=4 cm (Given)
b) Length of the cuboid(=rectangular solid), L= 5* length of one edge of the cube (Edge length of 5 identical cubes form the length of the cuboid or rectangular solid)=5*4=20
c) Width of the cuboid(=rectangular solid), W= 4* length of one edge of the cube (Edge length of 4 identical cubes form the width of the cuboid or rectangular solid)=4*4=16
d) Height of the cuboid(=rectangular solid), L= 5* length of one edge of the cube (Edge length of 5 identical cubes form the height of the cuboid or rectangular solid)=5*4=20

So, volume=20*16*20=6400 cc

P.S:-
1) In a cube, measure of length=measure of width=measure of height. Volume of cube=$$a^3$$ (Where a is the measure of any of its side)
2) A rectangular solid is also called cuboid, Volume of cuboid=L*B*W

Hope it helps.
