If $$x = 3y$$, is $$x^2 > y^2$$?

$$x^2 > y^2$$ means $$(3y)^2>y^2....8y^2>0....y\neq{0}$$
So, we have to find whether y=0.

(1) $$y+x < yx$$
If y=0, $$y+x < yx$$ becomes $$0+0<0*0....0<0$$..NOT possible.
Hence $$y\neq{0}$$

(2) $$x^2 = 9y^2$$
x=3y means the same. No new information.
