If x and y are integers, is x positive?

(1) x = |y|

For any negative or positive number X will be always be positive.........the answer is Yes

However, if y and x equal to 0, then X is not positve............................the answer is NO.

P.S. ZERO is Integer but neither positive nor negative.

Insufficient

(2) x! = |x|

This statement implies that x is either 1 or 2. It is always positive.

P.S.: 0! = 1 and is NOT 0

Sufficient

Answer: B

If x and y are integers, is x positive?

(1) x = |y|
(2) x! = |x|

From Statement 1, x can be 0 or Positive Integer
Statement is not Sufficient to confirm x > 0

From Statement 1, x can't be negative because factorial for negative numbers are not possible .
x must be a positive integer because if x = 0 then 0! = 1 = |x| = |0| is not possible .
x is a positive integer .
Statement 2 is sufficient

Answer is B .
