Statement 1: \(|x||y|= 16\). Since \(|x|>10\), it could be \(x = -16\) or \(x = 16\). We can't know precisely what it is based on the given information. Remember that \(y\) is in modulus.
Statement 2: \(xy = 16\). If \(x = 16\), \(x = 1\); otherwise, if \(x = -16\), then \(x = -1\). \(\frac{x}{y}\) will remain the same, since \(\frac{+}{+}\) or \(\frac{-}{-}\) is positive in either case.
Answer: B.
