In order to make xy positive , both x or y has to be positive or both has to be negative.

Statement 1: y≤x . Although x is positive , y could be negative. NOT sufficient.

Statement 2: y≥x. As x is positive , y has to be positive. So, xy>0, positive. Sufficient.

The best answer is B.

Question: Is xy a positive Number?

Question: Do x and y have same signs>?

Statement 1: y ≤ x
y may be Positive and x may be positive as well
y may be Negative and x may be positive
NOT SUFFICIENT

Statement 2: y ≥ x
x is Positive adn y is greater than or equal to x therefore y also must be a positive number
SUFFICIENT



Answer: Option B
